Hi. I am 69 years old and my sugar levels are around 190 fasting blood sugar and around 290 post lunch blood sugar. I am taking galvus met 50/500 tab once a day. I am advised today by a doctor to take trivolib 2 mg along with galvus met. Kindly advise me whether the combination is good. I afraid to take 1000 mg metformin at a time. Thanks in advance.

I think to increase your galvus met to twice daily.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Your fasting and PP both glucose levels are too high, suggesting there is no control at all. It appears that there is a need to upgrade the present treatment. For that I need to know following details : 1)FBG & PP of the day along with HbA1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern, height and weight, extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern, serum creatinine and urea. It is essential to go through all those details before any advice can be given. Just adding tablet Trivolib 2 mg may not be a solution. Thanks.
