My mom is prescribed tab. Quittipine 75 mg morning and 100 mg night and tab. Ramipril 5 mg after noon. She is on this medication since 15 days. From 10 days her pulse rate is about 112 per minute in morning and 123 per minute in evening. After 5p. M. Anxiety increases. She is on tab. Thyroxine 25 mg and tab. Glycomet 500 mg. Please suggest medicine to lower pulse rate and anxiety.

Hello lybrate-user. If you will keep adding medicines like this then a day will come she will be eating pills in lunch and dinner most of her problems are because of already existing treatment. Thyroid also causes tachycardia. So instead of asking for medicine lime this my suggestion is to find out a way to decrease the medicine. You can consult me online for homeopathic treatment.

Dear lybrate-user, qutipin alone is less helpful in treating anxiety symptoms. Moreover you have not mentioned reasons for starting qutipin. Also pulse rate increase can be due to many other reasons. Kindly get her checked by a general physician and later by a psychiatrist.
