Hi, first please try to assess has anything changed in your schedule or are you in any kind of stress. Has your physical activity increased or is your sleeping pattern is disturbed. You must discuss in detail with an expert/doctor to find any underlying issue for sudden weight loss. As you have mentioned that your age is 60 years and as we age, we lose muscles and its absolutely natural. You can get your body analysis done in every 15 days and check your muscle mass% and that could be the reason of your weight loss. Whereas diet is concerned, try to have good quality protein in every meal. Try to increase calories in your main meals to gain weight but don't overeat. Improve the nutritional quality of the meal and not just quantity. Mid meals will help you to cover up with your calories intake. So try to include some snacks in between your meals it could be nuts, fruits smoothie, roasted peanuts etc also focus on adding good quality fats in your diet in form of nuts and seeds, peanut butter etc. Try include some physical activity in the form of strength/resistance training to gain muscles.
