I am getting itching near inguinal area, between hips and buttocks area. I have amorolfine cream 0.25% w/w (rolfin antifungal cream) and luliconazole cream. Which one I need to use and how to use. Please suggest.

Can only suggest depending on which creams were used initially. Need to find out any chances for development of resistance to antifungals, any steroid use history. I would suggest treatment based on photographs of the lesion. Luliconazole is always considered first line when compared to amorolfine.

The condition most often occurs when people wear tight-fitting clothing that traps in moisture. U can try this— wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry. Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. You can apply it directly to the affected area listerine: it has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem here are some tips to help you manage the infection: avoid using oily skin products. Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to the sun may trigger or worsen an episode, and a tan makes the rash more visible. Do not wear tight clothing. Wear breathable fabrics, such as cotton, to decrease sweating.

Hello hope you are keeping safe 1) I understand your concern, but please understand that I will be able to give you medications and specific treatment only after confirming the diagnosis of a fungal infection and grading it's severity, for which I need to see an attached photo of the lesion. 2) both of these antifungal medications are good based on the severity. And kindly understand, if it is present in much severity, you might need to take a short course of oral anti- fungal medication too for a better clearance and to prevent an early recurrence along with any antihistamine to prevent itching. 3) also follow these measures - keep area always dry - use only dry clothes - wear loose, breathable cotton clothes - iron your clothes before wearing to kill the fungal molds - wash area with lukewarm water - frequent changing of bed linens and towels.- do not share your personal items. - maintain good genital hygiene hope your query is cleared thank you and take care. In fungal infection (tinea) amorolfine and luliconazole both are effective but luliconazole is somewhat better .use twice daily for 4 to 6 wks. Keep the area dry and clean. If more area is involved then you wil also need oral antifungal like capsule itraconazole (after proper examination and diagnosis. Thanks.
