I am 45 years old having depression since last 15 years. Currently I use lamitor 200 mg and paroxetine 25 mg. After lamitor introduced good improvement in depression. I have one severe problem that is daily weird dreams, sleep talikg, shouting, acting out, sometimes falling out of bed while acting etc. The problem will be more severe if I miss dosage of any of my regular medicines like paroxetine and lamictal. I have symptoms of rem sleep / rbd disorder. This problem is there since last 10 years but I never cared for it. Now I feel it's better to correct it as my sleep quality is getting affected. Kindly advise safe add on medication to overcome this problem.

Dear lybrate-user, nice to know that good improvement is there with depression. Please continue the tablets as prescribed. Try to attach the tablets to some routine event so that you will not miss the dose. How do you know about rem sleep disorder or rbd? Please do sleep studies in a good sleep lab who has a neurologist/psychiatrist in the panel. Treatment will be given depending on the study result and correlating it with your sleep pattern.
