Hi, im currently living in japan and having terrible insomnia. I didn't sleep for a whole week. I visited the doctor who gave me etizolam, but warned against taking it every night as it's addictive. I get 5 or so hours sleep with that and 0 when I don't take it. My brain won't turn off, no matter what I think about I begin to drift off and then am reminded that ill not sleep and that ill affect my health. I don't want to be taking etizolam every night but it seems to be the only solution for now. I can not concentrate at work and have no energy to do anything. Any help will be appreciated.

Do u nap in daytime Or do u sleep till late in morning. If yes then stop it. U need to change ur habits. Try to go to bed early. Stop watching TV or mobile phone etc atleast an hour before going to sleep. Drink warm milk before going to bed. Even if u not able to sleep do not start chatting on what's app or face book etc. Don't sleep till late in morning. Eat healthy well balanced food. Finish ur dinner at least 2 hours before bed time.
