I am a senior citizen female aged 65, weight: 51 kgs (5 ft 2 in). I am having high blood pressure 140/90 to 160/90 last 02 years. Presently under medication of losartan potassium 50 mg twice daily (btd) with hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily for high bp and also thyroxine sodium i.p. 25 mcg for hypothyroidism (tsh 7.90 microlu/ml anti tpo antibody 173.8). Otherwise cbc, lipid profile, liver panel, blood na, k values, fasting & pp bs, serum creatinine are all in normal range. Ecg impression is also quite normal. I occasionally take alprazolam for insomnia disorder (02 tab weekly). I have no other physical ailments or discomfort due to high bp. Kindly advise suitable medicine to normalise the high blood pressure.
