I am 27. I suffered disc protrusion (at l5-s1 level) in december, 2017. I was on medication for 3-4 months i.e till feb, 2018. I still have pain in my lower back. I feel pain at least 28 days in a month. But the pain is manageable and not very severe. Is it ok to live with pain without doing any further medication? Will it further damage my spine?

Hi if you are able to manage with pain. Now time for you to start consulting a physiotherapist or manual therapist. They should assess you and give you proper treatment. My suggestion for you is. 1. Visit a physiotherapist / manual therapist (chiropractic/osteopathic) 2. Should apply mild heat (hot water fermentation) for 15 mins if pain is bothering you. 3. Prescribed exercises or mild stretches you can start as prescribed. 4. Should adapt a maintenance exercise atleast 4-5 days a week so that through out life it will help you to remain fit and active. It should help you. Give us a like if it really helped you. For any query consult us. Regards.
