I have undergone cyst surgery (removal of cyst outside the ovary) as I have pcod since 4 years I am trying since long to lose weight but instead of losing m gaining weight kindly help me with this issue and what could be the reason behind not losing weight?

All foods are good and bad also. It is important what you eat n at what time you eat. This factor determines are you going to lose weight or gain weight with the same food. Generally we do not take breakfast as we are in a hurry in the morning. This is wrong as we had our dinner 8-10 pm n bfast 8-10 am. So roughly 10-12 hours of fasting. So breakfast is the most important meal of the day. N the problem is we generally neglect it. We should take healthy bfast. Similarly dinner should be light n preferably done between 7-8 pm. What exercise do you do in gym, for how much time n for how many days. What is your pre n post exercise meal. These are some of the factors that influence weight loss. First of all you should change your eating habits like 1. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 2. Don't overeat 3. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of plain water first thing in the morning (preferably within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit (eat whole fruit not juice), a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. Take simple food like rice n dal in dinner. 6. Avoid fast foods n fried foods7. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 8. Drink lot of water9. Everyday preferably sleep on same time 10. Maintain active life stylenow about point no. 10. You should join a gym for weight training. Do it 2-3 times a week with at least 48 hours in between 2 sessions. Other days you can do cardio exercises like yoga, cycling, swimming etc. For further details you can consult me.
