My baby 1.5 year old female gets intermittent fevers for about a week now. She has mild cold. Gets very hot in upper parts of body. Platelets a week ago was normal. Fever reduces with calpol, but does not resolve. She vomits whatever she eats and refuses to eat for the last three days. Doctor gave an antibiotic and antihistamines. Anything to fear. Worried as the fever does not go away despite giving meds. Thank you for the answer doctor. Here are the lab values: rbc 4.54 million, wbc 11400, polymorph 21, lymphocytes 73, eosinophil 06, monocyte 0, basophil 0, platelets 2.31 lakhs, esr after 60 minutes 28 mm, crp 71.
