I have developed a skin condition for almost a week. A dry, rough reddish patch. I applied antiseptic (soframycin), antifungal (cloben-g) ointments on the area. But either of these neither deteriorated or improve the said condition. It is located at lateral side of my ribcage so I can not see it directly. My mother said it has started to turn blackish. I am currently under fluticasone medication for almost 2 months. I also have anxiety disorder. But don't take anxiety medicines because I am afraid of psychiatric drugs. Please advice me further what I should do for my skin condition. Thank you.

Why are you on fluticasone medication. If you have an anxiety disorder, it would seem that you have consulted a psychiatrist or a wellness specialist for your anxiety problems and you do not take medications due to anxiety itself. I believe that you will do well with consulting a dermatologist first. Kindly do not be your own doctor. I hope you get back to us after a dermatology recommendation since anxiety would certainly need to be treated - with or without medications. Look forward to hearing from you. Anxiety is also a medical disorder which can be very well treated with anxiolytic medications and cbt consult a psychiatrist to see if you need to be treated first. Many skin conditions are also associated with anxiety, so liaison between dermatologist and psychiatrist may be needed. Good luck.
