My mom is 56 years of age and diagnosed as diabetic since last 3 years and thereafter she is taking metformin 500 and glimepiride 2 mg .initially her weight was 50 kg. Bt now she has 46 kg. Also now she is taking metformin 1/2 tablets now since last month. Bt it seems that her weight is not improving. Any suggestions for wt gain? Her blood sugar was 112 yesterday. And under control.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given, there is absolutely no mention of blood glucose levels(Fasting, PP Glucose) & HbA1c%. Also please let me also know diet pattern and extent of daily exercise. As regards the weight loss it can only be understood after going through all the above mentioned details. Thanks.
