My blood pressure is 160/100 yesterday afternoon. Doctor prescribed losartan 50 mg and simvastatin 20 mg since I have high cholesterol. This day, I done again my bp this morning and it still high. 150/90. Then, at lunch break still high. 160/100, doctor give me sublingual captopril and after 1 hr no improvement. So, they refer me to the internist. And the internist prescribed me amlodipine 10mb for 10 days once a day together with simvastatin 20 mg. I have no signs or symptoms of hypertension. I'm afraid. Also is there an interaction with the two med? amlodipine and simvastatin to take together? Pls help.
