I took isotretinoin capsules 10 mg and minocycline antibiotic 50 mg together for 21 days as prescribed by my dermatologist. Recently I got to know the combination of this medicine can cause brain tumour. Am very scared. Should I get any tests done? Please help.

Hello Lybrate-user. Ideally, both medicines should not be taken together. Kindly stop taking minocycline for now. And consult with a physician if you are having headaches or vision loss as soon as possible. If you do not have any of those symptoms then stop minocycline and continue with the remaining medicines. Don't worry because pseudotumour cerebri is quite a rare complication, we can reassess the risk.
