Blackheads are the features of acne that causes pimples, spots and zits. This is a condition which clogs the pores of the hair follicle. Blackheads may develop due to too much oil production, build up of acne bacteria or hormonal changes. Applying cosmetics and not removing them before going to bed can also trigger formation of blackheads. They appear as small bumps causing redness and inflammation.
