I'm on antidepressants for the past 15 years. Though the symptoms of depression were under control for all these years it again relapsed around 6-7 months back. I am currently prescribed depsonil pm 75 mg at night and at morning along with spectra 10 mg in morning and olimelt 7.5 mg and paralysis 25 mg at night. It has been 3 weeks i'm on these medications. Many medications were tried on me but nothing worked until these medications have started getting my depression symptoms down. I get panic attacks very often and these panic attacks have also led to agoraphobia. My diagnosis is mdd and anxiety disorder. I do have previous case history of mdd. I'm trying to cope up but still that depression feeling is there especially while getting up in the morning resulting in extra sleep and missing my work. Would like to know how long does these medications take to work as my doctor suggested it could take around 6 weeks for the medication to take complete effect. Also are these the medication that I will need to take throughout my life?
