I am 72. Suffering from knee pain last 5 yrs. Ortho Dr. said after seeing x ray slight deterioration which can be reduced by exercise. And they gave lyser d. Normally I do not take. Seeking your advice. Diclofenac get I am using but not much effective. I cannot walk. Knee flexibility gone. Much pain.

You should not take pain killer too much. If pain is is too much and x ray shows arthritis and if your medical condition permits should go for knee replacement. Age is not a bar.

Absolutely, if exercise and physiotherapy not working anymore, then go for knee replacement if your preanesthesia check up allows.
