Done hiv 1/2 screening test on the 85th-day post exposure, it came negative. I have also taken viraday as pep. Is the test conclusive?

Hello. I assume that you did 1 test at the start of pep, 2nd at 30 days and than this test. All being negative by 4th gen combo test its 99.97% conclusive. No hiv inf. Pl do not go for any unneccesary expensive test like hiv dna pcr. It is not needed. The concept of doing test at 6 mnths after exposure is no more valid and not recommended if hcv neg. Pl relax. Thanks.

Both are wrong. For pep should not have been viraday. Tests after 90 days. Better. Also do hbsag, hcv and vdrl after 90 days of exposure.
