I'm 23 old. I have been suffering from insomnia since 2015. I had consulted a psychiatrist and I got only medicines (relaxing tablet nd sleeping pills). But I wanted to recovery from it without sleeping pills. I searched in youtube and other social sites and I got that some relaxing technique and good exercise are best for it. I have started doing yoga. What should I do? Can I take medicine? please reply.

Stick to a regular sleep schedule ,exercise 30 min per day of week ,get plenty of natural light exposure during the day ,establish a regular relaxing bedtime routein ,take a warm bath shower before bed ,natural melatonin supplement ,take natural homeopathic sleep remedies.

Do you nap in the daytime or do you sleep till late in the morning. If yes then stop it. You need to change your habits. Try to go to bed early. Stop watching tv or mobile phone etc at least an hour before going to sleep. Drink warm milk before going to bed. Even if you not able to sleep do not start chatting on what's app or facebook etc. Don't sleep till late in the morning. Eat healthy well-balanced food.
