Hi lybrate-user for sensitive teeth, you can use toothpastes, like sensodyne rapid relief and use it. Also visit a dentist for a better treatment option. Many a times sensitivity is caused by decaying teeth, receded gums etc. A dentist can see you, and advise better.

Hello, sensitivity can be generalised if that is the condition scaling can help you depending on the level of deposits, if it is in any particular tooth than it might be a decay which will require a filling. So visit a dentist and get it checked thanks.

The cavity may be deep kindly get it checked by dentist. You may need a root canal treatment.

A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and/or artificial enamel filling and/or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (Sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better.

Scaling, polishing of the teeth. Application of desensitizing paste and mouthwash. Filling of the decayed tooth. Some times lasers can help. Avoid sour food and drink. Get an examination of full mouth by dentist.
