My grandfather has diabetes. His diabetes has increased and reached by 350. Now he is not able to see from his one eye. What should we do to control his diabetes.

Tell me his medications. Shift him temporarily to insulin. Shifting to insulin is not a problem. Diabetic tablets have a side effect but insulin does not because it is a direct hormone. Think over it.

Hello, as your grandfather has uncontrolled blood sugar level, and has vision problem in one eye, you should consult opthalmologist first and rule out diabetic retinopathy (common complication of eye related to diabetes), and get him checked throughly for other diabetes related complications too like nephropathy, neuropathy etc. Consult urgently, without wasting time.
