Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. Gur or jaggery is made from sugar caine juice. It is similar to sugar. Only difference it is likely to have some vitamins & antioxidents. But in terms of glucose or calories it is absolutely same as sugar. Dark chocolate if sugar free is good enough. Dates 3 to 4 and similaly dry anjeer about 2 a day may be fine. Karela juice is bitter, that has really no action on blood glucose. There is no clinically established proof. You have to learn to over come the craving for sweets. There is no alternative. Thanks.

Yes karela juice will definitely help you, please avoid dry fruits and sweets. Focus on more snack which has low glycemic index. Have fruits like papaya, guava, green apple or some snack made from sugar free. Thanks.
