I am 81 years old. Diabetic from 20 years but controlled by medicines. 5 days before I become unconscious and hospitalized. My blood sugar was 31 mg/dl. Any how doctor controlled my situation and after 5 days my blood sugar is 178 mg/dl. I was taking 1 tablet of glykind-m before lunch to control my high sugar level. Should I continue taking this medicine as usual or stop. Kindly suggest.

Hello, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose level mentioned (178 mg) is taken when? Fasting, PP or random? Plus what is the HbA1c%? The episode of hypoglycemia might have occured due to improper timing of food intake. What is the strength of the tablet that you are taking (both ingrediebnts in mgs)? If your food intake is proper, then drug may be required. Since the information not full it is difficult to give any specific answer. Thanks.
