Hi, I have been using inhaled steroid (Seretide) 500 mcg twice a day and it provides me good relief. I am a senior citizen (70 yrs) and was told that long term use of inhaled steroids can lead to osteoporosis in Sr citizens. What corrective action can I take to prevent this i.e. Osteoporosis? Are there non- steroidal medicines available which are equally effective and do not have side effects like osteoporosis?
