I am 52 year old male. I have an delusion disorder or kind of thought disorder and it was from age of 30 when I got married and now it is going to have a difficulty on my work and relationships too. Sometimes due to overthink I use to harm myself through not getting proper sleep suffers depression too. And now I was preferring to get some rid of from such through drinking alcohol. Dear lybrate-user, Delusional disorder needs to be diagnosed properly and treated with antipsychotics and cognitive therapy. Alcohol is NOT a treatment for sleep and overthinking or delusional disorder. Please consult a psychiatrist and get diagnosed and treated for both alcohol dependence and delusional disorder.
