Hi Mr. lybrate-user, As you told you are suffering from Low back pain since last 2 years. Lt's a long duration since you are suffering. Mostly It's postural in younger age group. Try to keep spine straight, avoid lifting heavy weight, try to recreate the normal curvature of spine, these simple life style modification may help a lot. There are many causes of low back pain like Postural, Trauma, Inflammatory,Degenerative, Metabolic, Tumour, Miscellaneous. It's not always a localised disease as most of the persons think. I think if you have any of the following then you should consult an Orthopod/Spine surgeon/Rheumatologist initially. 1. Inflammatory diseases are mostly associated with LBP and other systemic involvement like Respiratory, ophthalmological, cardiac, other musculo-skeletal etc. 2. LBP with shooting pain along thighs, legs, calf muscles, around anus with or without urinary disturbances/ weakness in movements of lower limb including toes/ Numbness, parasthesia along any part of lower limb. 3. LBP with urinary disturbances with or without discoloration of urine. 4. LBP associated with any obvious deformity of back with or without fever. There are so many diseases that are associated with LBP sometimes even causes are not within musculoskeletal system even. Don't ignore it, get consulted as early as possible for proper diagnosis and treatment. Regards.
