Hi, I'm a 51 year old woman with symptoms of cushing's syndrome: diabetes, high cholesterol, very high blood pressure, bdominal obesity, back fat pads, facial hair, muscle weakness. My endocrinologist wouldn't test me for cushing's so I bought a diurnal cortisol test. I'm very high. Here are my results and reference ranges. 9.6 H [3.7-9.5 ng/ml] (morning) 6.7 H [1.2-3.0 ng/ml] (noon) 8.1 H [0.6-1.9 ng/ml] (evening) 7.9 H [0.4-1.0 ng/mL] (night) I think from my reading these levels mean cushing's, not pseudo cushing's or just stress. If that is correct, I'm going to push my doctor for more tests. It's that right, these levels are very high, yes? I'm not on any meds or creams that would increase my numbers.
