High Blood Pressure (more than 120/80) can be there without any symptoms. This is very common. Even then it has to be treated because a persistent high BP damages the walls of blood vessels over a period of several years, resulting in damage to organs like heart, brain, kidneys, eyes etc. High BP can also cause symptoms like headache, giddiness, blurring of vision, chest pain, palpitation, breathlessness etc. making the patient seek treatment.
