Anxiety or stress may be a reason. But there is possibility of hyperthyroidism (excess thyroid hormone secretion). Blood test will help and if proven, needs treatment.

Your pain may be due to cervical spondylitis with brachial neuralgia (nerve pain radiating from the shoulder down the arm with some pain in the upper part of chest below collar bone). Avoid a big pillow while sleeping, avoid bending the neck for long period like while using a smartphone and avoid lifting heavy weight. Orthopaedic consultation may help.

Chicken pox, after the eruptions occur, takes up to 2 weeks for the last scab to fall off. Till then it can be infectious to others.

Chest pain occurring after exertion is a matter of concern especially if there is additional risk factor like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol or cigarette smoking. It suggests decreased blood supply to the heart due to blockage of artery. Physician consultation is needed.

Hello sir, my problem is mental rather then physical. People around me often say that I take too much stress about studies and that's why I'm not happy with my life but when I see myself it doesn't seem like I'm stressed at all. Maybe a bit tensed about what's going to happen next but nothing more then that. I want to make sure that I live and enjoy the present and forget about the future. Can't you guide me how I can overcome this issue. Don't get me wrong I'm not an unhappy person, I'm just confused and want to focus more on the present and don't want to worry too much about the past or present.

The important thing is you are enjoying what you are doing. It is a good thing that you are putting effort in your studies without undue stress. You hard work now will pay dividends later. But anything in excess is bad. Putting in hard work during student days is essential. At the same time enjoying life in a healthy way is a basic requirement. Best wishes.

Cigarette smoking is injurious to health as a whole, including sleep. QUIT SMOKING. You can slowly and steadily regain your health. Best wishes.

I slept at 2 am and morning tested blood sugar without food at 10. 30 am. Result I got was 59. Is this the proper result or there is any constraints that we need to sleep at 10 pm and should check the blood sugar at 6 am. What to do to normalise the blood sugar level?

Fasting blood sugar needs to be tested after previous day of near normal (average) activity, food intake as well as sleep. Your value of 59 is on the lower side (normal range 70 to 100), possibly because of delay in taking the sample. But this is expected in a normal non-diabetic person.

Hello Doctor, I am suffering from chest infection my doc tell me that is allergic Bronchitis and this is a hereditary. So I need your opinion what to do or what not to do. I have a little son and I don't want that in future he will be affected by this kind of decease. Thank you so much.

MBBS, M.D.(Gen.Medicine)

Allergic tendency can be hereditary. But the following will help minimize the extent of the Bronchitis: Avoid anything that triggers wheezing/cough like house dust, polluted atmosphere, cold air, foods that trigger etc. Certain preventive inhaled drugs can help prevent the condition becoming chronic. Treat any bronchitis that has already set in at an early stage. The same precautions and preventive measures apply to your son who is yet to have the first episode.

Your grievance may be genuine. Wounded feelings don't heal easily. But for your own wellbeing you have to get past this. Focus on the positive aspects of him and his family. Nobody is perfect. Do not allow negative thoughts dominate you. Allow them to pass through you. You will soon find peace coming back to you. It is all in the mind. Attitude decides life.
