My mouth stinks I mean it tastes really worse in the morning until I brush. I also have bleeding gums. I have vitamin c deficiency. Is it necessary for me to go to dentist for scaling or polishing since I have financial problem is it ok if I continue taking chewable vitamin c tablets like lunch or celin and do something like brushing twice a day and massaging my gums and gargling with salt water. Cause I am not helped financially.

Kindly get scaling done and use a gum paint and mouthwash twice daily for 15 days. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath. Take lots of water and include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet to keep your flushing system well. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

Hi. Maintain your hygiene well. It's good that you are doing so much for your oral hygiene. But yes you have to visit a dentist at least once for Scaling/ Cleaning of teeth. Scaling will remove all the hard deposits known as calculus which is removed by brushing.

Scaling is necessary to remove tar from the teeth. Which is the main source of infection and which causes gingivitis and bleeding gums. So yes it is necessary. If you have financial problems then go to a government hospital.
