In x-ray doctor says there is cough in her chest. She is facing problem in doing household works. Even her breathe goes high/low in a small walk. Her age is 40. She is a diabetes patient. Please give some suggestions what to do next. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user, there seems to be phlegm thats causing the problems. I would suggest you see a physician immediately. If you want to catch up on time. Get a Chest X ray done PA view. Followed by a few blood tests. CBP, sputum for culture and sensitivity. This will give your treating physician a good idea about your sisters condition. In the mean while do not abuse any antibiotics. This can lead to un necessary problems. Nebulization with steam will surely help. (You can have her inhale steam as well) Hope this helps. Thanks!

Thanks. Looks like she has allergic bronchitis. Steam inhalation and cough syrup to start with, if symptoms continue, see pulmonologist.
