I took kenacort40 injection for trochanteric bursitis of my left hip. Relief lasted 3 months but now pain is back and I am unable to sleep on my left side. Again taking that is inadvisable as tissue structure weakens I heard. What should I do to get permanent relief? Ice packs Ultrasound IFT applying voveran gel etc etc have NOT helped at all.

You can try injection of depoprednisolone. If the bursitis is recurring, or is bothering you too much then it's better to get it removed.
