Hello Doctor, I have thalassemia major by birth and diabetes so I am using novomix 30 injection for diabetes treatment. So I consulted you because I read on a medicine app that novomix 30 should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease and also it should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. So I am worried what to do further. Sir/mam will it affect on kidney in any way or long use? Thanks.

It is a safe medication and nothing to worry because it is not a cause for kidney or liver disease

Novomix 30 is premixed insulin. It doesn't have any side effect on liver or kidney. But if you have liver or kidney disease beforehand then it may increase the chance of hypoglycemia. So, blood sugar monitoring should be more frequent and stringent. Thalassemia does not pose any problem with insulin.
