Hi Sir, My son aged 36 years he is suffering with loss of sensation from ankle to foot bottom on both legs since above 10 years. Doctors on various tests diagnosed it as due to B12 deficiency. He was given B12 supplements like methylcobalamin injections and certain tabs for 2 months continuously. Though the B12 levels are enhanced considerably, his problem persists. Will the position improved if so how?

Hi , our body is a complex network of nerves that travel from the tips of your toes and fingers to your brain and back again. Any damage, a blockage, infection, or compression of a nerve that travels to the foot, may cause numbness in the foot. Sometimes it can be due to diabetes as well.Must ask your doctor about all possible reasons . include B12 rich foods in his diet : eggs, milk, cheese, milk products, meat, fish, shellfish and poultry etc.
