I had slipped, a month ago, my bike resulting into fall leading weight coming on left side of right knee. X-ray did not show crack or fracture. After 20 days of Knee brace and bed rest, I was advised MRI which suggested grade 2 tear of Medial Cruciate Ligament. It also suggested moderate fluid in joint extending to suprapatteller. Second opinion also again suggested activity with knee brace. Now when I walk for sometime, my hamstring and calf muscles get stiff. Little swelling over the MCL side develops. These soon subsides on rest. But I am unable to bend my knee more than 90 degree. I want guidance on two points: whether my injuries can heal on their own without surgery? Whether and by when my leg movement be normal after physiotherapy?
