Hi I am 24 years male 3 months back I visited a general physician for pigmentation he prescribed me melabest I used it for 3 months and skin became fair. Immediately after stopping the usage for 3 days my face started getting darker again I revised him yesterday he advised use the same melabest for 2 more months. Does using of this cream for 2 months causes any side effects or should I go any other cream to maintain the fairness please advise.

Please stop using melabest cream as it contains strong steroids which will cause serious side effects. Steroid induced pimples, photosensitivity that is sun sensitivity, rosacea that is red face, atrophy that is skin thinning, stretch marks, pigmentation, dryness, severe itching and hair growth on the face etc to name a few side effects. Reports of skin cancer are also there. Please don't use any such Steroid containing fairness creams. You will require treatment to slowly put you off this cream by using some substitute as the skin becomes addicted to the steroid. Hence you are facing such a problem.
