Hello, Thanks for the query. The diet for a person with diabetes is usually patient specific. It depends on weight (ideal body weight), height, extent of daily exercise, present diet and treatment that is being taken. On burning of calories there is no specific number, but daily workout of over 1 hour is necessary. Particularly with your age, there has to be more care taken to remain free from any complications.
