Sir/ma'm I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer march, last year. I completed my chemotherapy & radiation in November last year. Now I am taking tamoxifen daily doses. But, I am having constipation & blood in my stool now-a-days. And it pains while applying pressure. I eat oats, vegetables including beetroot, carrot. please suggest me, whether I should take any medicine for it, or anything else.

Constipation with bleeding in stools and pain may be due to fissure or a thrombosis pile. Better to show it to a general surgeon, who would do a PR and if needed a proctoscopy to diagnose the same. If needed he may ask for coagulation profile and a colonoscopy to rule out other causes of bleeding. Try taking a high fibre diet to shorten the stools. Isapgool for a few days might help. Rest of the treatment will be decided by the surgeon after seeing you.
