My recent blood test shown (female age 34) PPBS as 184 mgs/dl and Hb A1C as 6.5 % Please tell me. Is there any problem related to diabetes. If yes how to control that. Please guide me.

Hello, Thanks for the query. HbA1c% 6.5 is confirming the presence of diabetes. Please get Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT), done. That will give a clearer idea. The reason vis PPBS is 184 mg. Usually above 200 mg is considered for diagnosis of diabetes. Once diabetes is confirmed, there's a need to initiate appreciate drug treatment, plus diet control & regular exercise. Diet & exercise are very vital components of the therapy. Plus maintenance of normal body weight, is also equally necessary. Thanks.
