Hi I'm 25 and I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetics since 1 year, my fbs comes around 130 and ppbs 230 respectively. As per the instruction of my doctor I'm going to gym and I'm taking protein supplement whey which contains 5g of carbs, my question is, is this safe to consume and can I take BCAA during my work out?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Taking additional protein is good. BCCA are also part of protein only. It is safe. But you have to look at total calorie intake as excess will add to improper control. Ideal control is considered when fasting is < 100 mg & PP around 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c %< 6.8. So please consider that aspect. Thanks.
