I would like to know what hormonal therapy she is on. Diarrhea is seen with injectable fulvestrant, which is given as an monthly injection. It is not common with tamoxifen or Aromatase Inhibitors (letrozole, anastrazole or exemestane). Also I presume that 12 value was of TSH, due to which she was declared as hypothyroid and on correction with thyroxine, it came down to 0.85 Try stopping the thyroxine tablets for a few days to see if the diarrhoea improves. There could be two reasons for your Diarrhea if it is related to your thyroxine tablets. 1) it could be due to the inactive component in the tablets which can cause allergy and diarrhoea. Shifting to soft gelatin capsules may help avoid those. 2) you might want to reduce the dose of thyroxine to maintain the TSH between 1.8 to 4 as sometimes hyperthyroidism can lead to diarrhoea. I would be able to guide you better if you could send me the details of your breast cancer history and treatment and also regarding the thyroid medicine. Or consult your treating doctor.
