Hi, I had an you protected sex last year in August. As my foreskin was tight, I could?t penetrate, but caused some skin tear. I was worried about sexual disease and so I had taken all blood test including HIV and VDRL, few times after few months. It all came negative. This January I had taken test again, in which HIV came negative and VDRL came reactive with 1: 2. While I took another test, it came negative. Now I am very much worried if I have Syphilis. Some symptoms I had during his course of time is acne on my shoulders. Is Syphilis curable? Which specialist to consult? please help me.

Vdrl is not specific tests for syphilis, it comes positive in other conditions also ,if it comes positive I would recommend to get a diagnostic test such TPHA ,if it comes positive then will treat with antibiotics.
