I have duane retraction syndrome type 1 since my birth. Gradually I had developed an abnormal head posture turned towards left to have a better vision but earlier I may had double vision but was not aware of that but I have been experiencing double vision on attempted abduction and adduction of the right eye. There is downshoot on adduction of right eye and limitation of movement on abduction. Other associated symptoms are neck rigidity and pain ,headache. I also have amblyopia in the right eye and there are also signs of palpebral fissure narrowing and globe retraction of right eye on attempted adduction. So I want to know could surgery be of any cure to my condition?
