Hello lybrate-user, ELISA is a screening test for HIV. Here we look for presence of specific antibodies in your blood usually forms as a result of HIV exposure. The number mentioned (0.2 or 0.02 etc) is more of a quantitative expression of the result rather than saying just yes or no to the test. A person with no HIV infection will have this value less than 1. That means any value less than 1 is considered HIV negative. 0.2 is a value less than 1 and so you don't have HIV now. But still there is chances of 'false negatives' in the values. This happens in stages like window period value where the HIV Antigen is not up to the level of detection. Usually this is up to 3 months. So I advice you to 1. Repeat HIV ELISA after 3 months 2. Do a Rapid HIV P24 Antigen test (And if any of these found positive, do 1. Western blot test or 2. PCR test for HIV.) There is no definite curative therapy for HIV+ in modern medicine. Yet we found integrative approaches with homeopathy better for increasing CD4 count and better prognosis.
