Pt. Is 80 years old she is having pain in her knee joint of both leg. Little swelling it is from 6 to 7 years back pain is sever leads to fever, she is unable to walk long distance the joint get suddenly block sometimes. The pt is diabetic from 1 years and hypertensive since 3 years and x ray show both end of bone are about to touch each other that is osteoarthritis. We showed her to a Dr. Who is saying for knee replacement but we do not want that we want bone marrow stem cell transplant method so please tell me what is best for her and how to proceed.

Hello lybrate-user, 80 years old with osteoarthritis I would recommend for knee replacement as we need pt to mobilise as early as possible and pain free, other all modalities won't be as proven won't allow pain free movement as knee replacement will be, do consult.
