Hi, I have a back pain when I move my neck downwards to the chest. This maybe caused due to muscle strain as I do workout. And on Monday I performed excessive back workout with more weight than usual. After that night only I am experiencing this pain. And its not subsiding. Please advise what should be the remedy.

You have strained your intervertebral disc in lower cervical spine (neck), resulting in increased neural tension causing back pain during neck bending. TREATMENT: PHYSIOTHERAPY (one week) 1.Intermittent cervical traction (weight 5 kgs, duration 15 minutes) 2.interferential therapy for low back region. 3 ultrasound therapy for neck region. AVOID ABDOMINAL CURL -UPS, AND WEIGHT TRAINING FOR THREE WEEKS. U can continue only with walking for fitness as of now. Pelvic mobility exercises under physical therapy supervision after one week.
