I am suffering from diabetic mellitus from last 3 years and the range of fasting is 140-175 and random is 180-210. Is my medication is o.k.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query The blood glucose levels mentioned (particularly fasting) are high. In a well controlled diabetic person fasting blood glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & Hb A1c % <6.8. At this level one is able to either postpone or prevent the long term complications of diabetes developing. Therefore, it is clear that current treatment is not really helping you to control the blood glucose levels effectively. This can lead to developing long term complication Thanks.
