Dear Lybrateuser, - To increase stamina you have to have a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein rich foods & healthy fats - increase your duration & time over a prolonged period of a week to ten days, do warming up like brisk walking for 10-15 min including stretching before you start the actual run, also do cooling in a similar way after the run - do moderate weight lifting twice a weak to strengthen your muscles - have a snack like a fruit or nuts or a cup of milk with chocolate half or one hour before & also after the run - keep yourself well hydrated, have a cup or two of water half an hour before, sip water during the run & again after the run - your body & mind should be well rested before the run - increase your time & intensity every week or so once you are comfortable with one distance.
