Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Please clarify what do mean by "His PM rating is 320" Because there is nothing like rating in diabetes. We look for fasting and post prandial (after meal) blood glucose levels plus HbA1c%. If you are saying 320 mg / 100 ml is his after meal blood glucose level, then it is too high. It shows that current treatment is inadequate. To give any suggestion I need to know following details: Fasting, & PP glucose levels (current), HbA1c5, extent of daily exercise, weight, height and present diet pattern. Plus his BP readings & lipid profile also drugs being taken with dosage. After going those I will be able to advise what is needed to be done.
