Hello ma'am, My complexion is light brown and I have taken one chemical peel which didn't affect much. I want to go for glutathione or any treatment which can rejuvenate my lost skin under tanning.

First of all, I want to tell you to embrace your dark skin. Its beautiful and many people find it attractive these days! But if you really want to lighten your skin, there are lots of options you can try. Avoiding too much sun exposure is the best place to start. Typically, the skin darkens when exposed to sunlight because it produces a substance, called melanin, to protect itself from the harmful solar radiation. Melanin is the pigment that gives color to our hair, eyes, and skin. And the more melanin your skin makes, the darker your skin becomes. Its also great to use sunscreen every time you go outside. As far as lightening products, you can try creams and soaps that contain kojic acid, glutathione, aplha-arbutin, licorice extract, mulberry extract, and Vitamins C, E, and B3. You can also go for lightening creams containing hydroquinone, but make sure that the concentration does not exceed to 2%.Only use products that contain 4% hydroquinone if its prescribed by your dermatologist; and make sure to follow the instructions strictly as wrong use of these products can cause serious complications. If you wd like to go for a more natural approach, you can try lemons. Just get a piece of fresh lemon, squeeze the juice, dip a cotton ball into the juice, apply it on your face, then rinse off after 10-15 minutes. If you do not have a lemon, try potato. The procedure is almost the same. Peel the potato, cut it into small pieces, then apply the juice on areas you wish to lighten. Just keep in mind, though, that the effectiveness of the treatments mentioned depends largely on your skin problem and skin type. Some products and procedures may work, but some may not.
